Solitaire (PC, reviewed by EnOb)

Microsoft Solitaire v5.1 is a card delightful game that comes "free" with Microsoft Windows. It has been a staple item that has enchanted and enraged people for the last 15 or so years.

Gameplay

Solitaire involves dealing cards from the computer shuffled deck into a prescribed arrangement upon the desktop. From this arrangement the player attempts to reorder the deck by suit and rank through a series of moves transferring cards from one place to another under prescribed restrictions.

With this game it is all about beating your time. I have seen people beat this game in under a minute. I on the other hand struggle with it up until the point of constantly hitting “Deal” to get a better hand in life.

Solitaire comes with a number of options. These options add to the game play, such as changing the style of game, and the amount of cards drawn. These all add new degrees of difficulty to the game.

Graphics

Exceedingly simple and extraordinarily sugary. There certainly were no records broken in the making of this game, but that is what makes it so good.

Sound

Although the game itself is soundless, by being able to play it in Windows you can technically listen to whatever you want, or perhaps hum a tune.

Presentation

Simple.

Closing Comments

It is like fucking a fat chick, or perhaps riding a moped - it's fun until your friends catch you doing it.
